Inspired by the ever changing colours of ocean lagoons in Fiji, this award-winning hand painted pattern illustrates mesmerising beauty of tropical lagoon into an imaginative dance of hundreds of butterflies, flapping wings of ocean waves.
DESIGN NOTE
Using a century old art form involving floating paint on water, lagoon butterfly showcases intricate colours created by corals beneath the lagoon which form an array of turquoise and emerald waterways.
The peaceful lagoon meets the vast deep blue ocean at the silver lining, where big ocean waves crash onto the barrier reef.
We swim and snorkel everyday in these water channels to find abundance of sea life. Here, we meet a tiny yellow baby boxfish with black dots. It's so cute, we want to keep it forever.
